Title Soccer

Introduction

Riddle me this.  I am a round and come in lots of colours. Most people would guess white and black. I get kicked for fun and I am played in the most popular game all around the world. What  am I? If you guest a soccer ball then you are correct. In this speech i'm going to tell you why soccer is such a good sport.

Big Idea 1

Soccer is a good sport because of how it was invented. Soccer was first played in England the 19 century, 1863 to be exact. Most people think it was invented in England but the Chinese claims to have played a version of this game centuries earlier and the also called it football. It was called football because they used their feet instead of playing the game on a horse.

Big Idea 2

Now in every famous world wide sport there going to be famous people who play the sport. Here are some people that are famous for playing soccer. 1st there is Messi. He plays for Barcelona and gets paid 50 million dollars a year. Next is Ronaldo he plays for Madrid and gets paid 32 million dollars a year. 3rd is Neymar he plays for Paris Saint Germain and gets paid 9 million dollars a year. and 4th Rooney He plays for Everton and gets paid 13 million dollars a year. These are all the soccer players I know the most about.

Big Idea 3 The rules of soccer is very simple. The first rule is you cannot hold the ball with your hands. The second rule of soccer is you cannot kick the ball into the goal on the side that you're on because then the other team will score. All you really need to do is to kick and pass the ball down the field and kick it into the opposite goal.

Big Idea 4 When famous soccer players play a game you might be wondering how many games have they won in a season .Messi has played 38 games in a season and Neymar has played 48 games in a season.

So what do you think about soccer now that I have told you some new interesting ideas about the game. I think that soccer is a great sport. You might think basketball or hockey better than soccer but I challenge you to give it a go.

The Mighty Gorilla

Gorillas are interesting animals. They mainly live dense forests in tropical Africa and are endangered.  Humans need to start protecting them.

What do Gorillas look like?

The gorilla is a huge, with broad chest and muscled shoulders.Their arms are longer than their legs. They have a big head and their nose is flat with big nostrils  The gorilla body is covered in a dark coloured hair making them look black. The adult male has a silver coloured back. A fully adult male Mountain Gorilla is twice as large as the female.

Where gorillas live?

Gorillas live in the tropics areas in Rwanda which is in Africa. They live in thick forest and can be found 10,000 feet up in the mountains.

What gorillas eat?

Gorillas are vegetarian so they only eat fruits like celery and bamboo. Gorillas also need a lot of food, they eat about 20 kg of food which is the weight of a 8 years old.  

Gorillas behaviour

Gorillas are nice and friendly and won't hurt anybody unless they are feel like they in trouble. Gorillas also have nice family relationships with other gorillas. They stay in a group of 30 or less and live for 40 years. The Silverback is the boss and he tell them where to sleep and where to go.  They spend the day grooming each other, playing and eating.

I think gorillas are nice, funny animals. They are a good animal to see at the zoo but the best place to see them would be in the wild. I think we should take care of them as we have a great responsibility to this animal.

Description under 100 words

I was walking in the jungles when I found a temple. The temple looked like it was dead for century. The walls had cracks and holes.The doors made me feel like an endless walk into the black. The sand is as hot as coal.The vines are as long as a two storey house. My arm felt like cold hard ice. The ground was covered in skulls that made me scared for a week. I never want to go into that forest again.

Uncle Jeff and the Switching Disaster

Set in a island

Characters:  Jeff, jessica,ben,Grainne

I in the beginning ben and his wife got 4 tickets to  mexico they invited jeff and jessica when all of a sudden the plane crashes on a island.

Middle:

In the middle jessica finds a bottle in the sand with a note in it. The note said that there is a big stone on the island. You go to it and say can I have a map.The stone will reply with a riddle.when you answer the riddle you will get a map and a key. you find a door and open the door with the key and you will find food.

End:

In the end they build A raft and found another plane and and when they woke up they found themselves in mexico.

Evaluation:

This was a very good story I recommend you read this story in your free time if you can.
